New Awareness Campaign A Smart Start

We applaud Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Senator Joe Lieberman, Best Buy and GameStop for their active involvement in the media welfare of our nation's children.

By joining with the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) to actively raise parental awareness of the importance of video game ratings, they underscore the critical role parents must play in their kids' media lives.

Making sure that kids use age-appropriate media helps ensure their healthy development – and it’s a challenge that requires a partnership among parents, policy makers, and retailers.
