Was a video game that recreated the Columbine tragedy to blame for a recent school shooting in Canada? Not according to some experts, who say blaming the media -- or the creepy online game Super Columbine Massacre -- is too easy.
Here's what we know: We know that Kimveer Gill, a fan of the game, walked into a Montreal school last Wednesday and shot 20 people, killing one, before police shot him. We know that violent video games can lead to aggressive behavior.
Now, the question is: Should we trust these experts? Is it really complete coincidence that Gill played violent video games -- including one about a infamous school shooting -- then went on a shooting spree? And, if we decide that violent video games might have contributed to the shootings here, what do we do about it? Gill was 25, after all, and has the perfect right to play any and all games, even those with mature content...
