Quite a controversy is raging over NBC's edits of the animated seriesVeggie Tales. That's because the bible verses that begin and end the show have been removed.
NBC claims the edits were necessary to make the show broadcast length. But the show creator calls that a lie -- as does the president of the conservative Parent's Television Council, L. Brent Bozell.
He says: "It’s bad enough that NBC is trying to take God and the Bible out of one of the most popular and successful children’s animated series ever. NBC is only making matters worse with its atrocious, and apparently false, spin."
Regardless of why it happened, the show no longer has its bible verses. So what do you think? Do these edits zap strength from the show's wholesome messages? Or do you think NBC was right to remove the bible references?
